It is an idea that is the first step on the road to success. If you have one that may attract developed companies or investment funds, enrol in the Start-up Challenge, present yourself to the world of business and get potential partners interested in your innovative solution. Perhaps it is your innovative path that corporations or financial markets are looking for?
Come to the Spodek Arena and MCK in Katowice and tell us about your concept. Face those who have been successful and who started like you once upon a time. Find out which doors to knock on and how to tailor your operating strategy to suit your idea. Meet mentors, investors and the CEOs of Poland's largest companies, all grouped together at the same time and place at the European Economic Congress (EEC).
Perhaps someone will give you a hand, inspire you or become an angel for your business?
Get caught. Turn your direction towards development. Take up the challenge.
Here is the final 100 start-ups of the Start-up Challenge. It is these business ideas that will have the unique opportunity to present themselves to representatives of the largest corporations, investors and experts at European Start-up Days as well as at European Economic Congress. Start-ups will soon be seen in the Spodek Arena in Katowice at a specially built Start-up Alley where they will talk about their concept. They will confront those who have succeeded and who have achieved business success. They will find out which door to knock and how to create business strategy tailored to your idea. They will meet with mentors, investors and presidents of the biggest companies in Poland, because such prominent guests will gather in one place and in one time at the European Economic Congress (EEC).
This is a forum for ideas, a source of trends and a creative melting-pot. It is here that you will find out everything that may support the development of your business. Variants of investment opportunities, acceleration programs, ways of funding, types of support and good practices, or: how others do that! And those with major experience, as well.
When you have to learn – learn from the best. Here you will learn first-hand – from business mentors, visionaries and creators of global brands. Look at your plans from the perspective of their experience. You will analyse examples of cooperation between start-ups and corporations. Who knows – perhaps your story will be the inspiration for someone?
No other better opportunity exists to maintain dialogue with investors and business support institutions. An opportunity to establish cooperation with potential partners and raise capital to start with, develop or enter foreign markets. To attract clients. This is a space for networking between young and mature business. Here your ideas may be noticed in a broader forum.
There are no restricted topics in the Start-up Challenge – participation in the challenge is open to any kind of start-up, operating in various sectors of the economy or spheres of social life. This has been an advantage that participants in previous editions of the competition have noted.
We know about global trends. From artificial intelligence (AI), via virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR) or mixed reality (MR)… to the internet of things (IoT), big data, machine learning or dissemination of the term – “digital”; something applicable to an increasing number of aspects of reality. Obviously, revolutions do not refer solely to the cyber world. For instance, we are witnessing events and processes aimed at more intensive counteraction of climate change, which is manifested in the development of technologies for the climate – inter alia, pro-ecological energy sources, electromobility and works aimed at an optimum use of resources.
We are looking forward to start-ups that propose or pursue technologies from the above areas to enrol in the Start-up Challenge.
