NEW EDITION
Katowice, Spodek Arena
Again Spodek Arena turned into the most inspiring place on Poland's start-up map. On 14-15 May 2019, during the European Start-up Days in Katowice, new business ideas fought for the attention of investors and the public within Start-up Challenge competition. European Start-up Days, since first edition, accompany the the European Economic Congress.
The subjects presented at the Spodek Arena in 2019 included, inter alia: blockchain in the economy, artificial intelligence, automatic machines, robots, cobots, the future of the market – new consumers, digital marketing, e-sport in the economy
The European Start-up Days is a technological bridge between start-ups and investors. Some investors are not interested in start-ups as they don’t trust their technologies and are not attracted by these companies at an early development stage. However, it is much easier to reach them if you have the opportunity to make a presentation at the European Economic Congress in Katowice – an event with an established brand. This builds trust in the company to a great extent and attracts the attention of those investors who did not attend the European Start-up Days.
The address at the European Economic Congress and receiving a prize in front of such a numerous audience at the Spodek Arena in Katowice impressed me more than winning the Polish Freeski Open.
The European Start-up Days is a driver for start-ups entering the market. As finalists in the competition, we had the opportunity to present our products to hundreds of people, present ourselves against the background of other start-ups and confront Umownik with the needs of large business. Today we are two steps ahead: our contact network has expanded as well as our recognition and awareness that it is possible to draft, negotiate and conclude contracts online.
That was a very inspiring time. At the European Start-up Days we met interesting people with an extraordinary approach to business. In our opinion, this is a great event at which participants are willing to share their experiences and know-how. I hope there will more initiatives of this kind.
