The Start-up Challenge: This is how business is born!

Here is the final 100 start-ups of the Start-up Challenge. It is these business ideas that will have the unique opportunity to present themselves to representatives of the largest corporations, investors and experts at European Start-up Days. Start-ups will soon be seen in the Spodek Arena in Katowice and International Congress Centre in a specially built Start-up Alley where they will talk about their concept. They will confront those who have succeeded and who have achieved business success. They'll find out which door to knock and how to sew strategy strategies to fit your idea. They will meet with mentors, investors and presidents of the biggest companies in Poland, because such prominent guests will gather in one place and in one time at the European Economic Congress (EEC).

  The event is an exchange of ideas and a mine of trends, and involves creative ferment, too. Here you will learn about everything you might need in order to develop your business. Options of investment possibilities, acceleration programmes, methods of financing, types of support, and good practice – in other words, how others do it.

• The Start-up Challenge inspires people

  If you wish to learn, then learn from the best. Here you will gain the first-hand ‘know-how’ from business mentors, visionaries and creators of global brands. You will look at your own plans from the perspective of their experience. You will analyse examples of co-operation between start-ups and corporations. Who knows, maybe your story will also become a source of inspiration for someone.

• The Start-up Challenge brings people together

  There could be no better opportunity to engage in a dialogue with investors and business support institutions. There could also be no better opportunity to establish co-operation with potential partners and raise start capital, development capital, or the capital needed to mark your presence in foreign markets. And finally, there could be no better opportunity to acquire clients. It is a space for networking between representatives of young and mature business. Here your ideas will stand a chance of being noticed on a broad forum.

The Start-up Challenge: Your road to success

• Apply for the Start-up Challenge.
• Become one of 100 of the most interesting start-ups.
• Present your idea in the Scale-up Alley at a free stand prepared by the organiser.
• Join the ranks of the top 18 start-ups – the stages of the European Economic Congress and of the European Start-up Days will be widely open for you.
• Compete for the title of the ‘Start-up Challenge Winner’ in your respective category.
• Gain an investor or business partner from among thousands of entrepreneurs with capital, who are ready to invest in innovative ideas.
• Have your day in the media – there will be as many as half a thousand representatives of the media at the European Economic Congress.
• Make your idea a reality!

How to do that?

• Fill in the form no later than on 26 April 2017
• Wait for information on whether you have been qualified
• Prepare your presentation and stand
• Win the jury over and become the winner of the Start-up Challenge
